Could a dual filament bulb like the ones in our tail lights cause a short large enough to blow a fuse? I pulled a bulb out today that had both filiments burned together but would still light up and would work for both parking lights and brake lights. I've been blowing fuses one a week for a month... could this be the culprit?

Thank you. I feel better, the down side to this is that I noticed someone tried to mess with my car. I have to go to the dealership and talk to the serice manager. Someone tried to pry one of the fuse boxes off the side of my engine bay. I was checking the various fuses and noticed the the box next to my battery had been busted and black sticky stuffed back to the mounting bracket. I'm hoping they weren't trying to create a way to break into my car without setting off the alarm or something. I know those wire harnesses are expensive.
