Maxima History

Found an interesting FAQ site the details the history of the beloved Maxima, from it's humble origin as the Datsun 810 untill the start of the 5th gen.

http://web2.iadfw.net/scutchen/max_faq/history.htm

If this has been posted before, well sorry. I did a search of "history" and there were 471 posts. I looked at a handful. Nothing recently was even close to this...

Awesome page...

ahhhh, the days of the "voice alert system"....my dad had that in his 1st gen, probably the most annoying option known to man!!!!!

"DAMMIT I KNOW THE FUEL LEVEL IS LOW, STFU!!!"

It's ( um, was ) a Sentra. Taken near J. Percy Preist Dam in Nashville, Tennessee in 2/2001. It went against a full-size Chevy 4x4 pickup truck.
Don't know much else about it , but thought it was a good example of the type of mods people should stay away from.
