Its tough to bring myself to get back out after working a 10hr day and it is cold and dark when i get home. I have a DSLR so quality pics in low light is not the problem. Its the motivation.

I feel ya man....I had one of those today....oh well....If nobody gets it within 2 days ill get it but Im sure that somebody will post.

I got some motivation since i do not have to work in the morning and i was driving by the place on the way to o'le reliable's house anyway. The desk clerk was staring at me the whole time.

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your Maxima with a tall flag post with the American flag streaming in the wind. 40ft+ mast. You do not have to be right next to it but it has to look like the mast is tall and the flag has to be streaming in the wind.

Next Challenge: Your Maxima Next to a Building at least 50 stories high[/QUOTE]
I don't know how this one is gonna work unless you are very far away. I had a hard time to do the flag one and get the whole thing in the pic. To get a whole 50 story building in the pic is gonna be tough. I look forward to seeing someone do this.

I know i can not do this one. I can not wait to see a pic that meets the criteria though. You are going to have to get the camera down real low to the ground faceing up. With a DSLR camera, the shot would be epic. Too bad i do not have any fifty story buildings in a practical driveing area.

My plan, assuming that I have to complete it on my own would be to drive downtown, get on top of a parking deck and capture about 10 buildings that high in the pic. at night too....will be nice for the album. Modified Challenge to include most urban areas: 25 stories high

Yup, i've been there before. The least congested parking area i've seen there was in the Tribeca area (TRIangle BElow CAnal) I was there looking at the Ghostbusters firehouse at Franklin St and North Moore a block west of Broadway, and snapping pics when I noticed how much lighter the traffic was. There were lots of open parking spaces along the street too. When you're in Manhattan, you're gonna we walking alot, so I'd just find a spot off the beaten path and hoof it where you need to go, or hop on a subway and/or bus.

First time being on the site for an extended period of time in a long time and I was skimming through this thread. Just a few reminders.
First and most importantly, I've seen some challenges straying away from the rules here and there. The one I found most alarming was one that said to get out of your car at a red light and take a picture of it without you in it. This type of challenge is NOT acceptable. While it seems like a fun idea, a challenge like that is potentially dangerous and would undoubtedly land you in some trouble if a cop happened to roll by. I'd rather not hear a story about someone landing themselves in trouble because they were trying to complete a challenge. The rules are on the front page, so if you are unsure if a challenge falls within them please take a minute to check them before issuing it.
Also, please issue challenges that are as complete-able as possible by everyone participating in this thread. We have a very wide demographic in here. While challenges like being next to a 50 story building are fun, it also excludes everyone who doesn't live in an urban area from completing the challenge.
Other than that, it's really nice to see the increased participation in this thread and how long it's gone on for. It shows that we have a great community of people who are enthusiastic enough to participate in something like this.
