You have to go for the Yellow top. Pep Boys sells them. I was surprised.

yo Will

Will, get the yellow top.

red is for cold cranking, you won't need in Metter.
blue is deep cell if you run your stereo system w/ the car off.
yellow has the highest constant output.

paint the yellow part blue, or make a cover like mine.

later
happy new year

I spoke to an Optima rep at SEMA about this and he said that the Yellow Top is the ideal battery it you play the stereo with the engine off a lot, and it can crank the car just as easily as the others. The Yellow Top is a deep-cycle battery that can be drained and recharged many more times than the others can.

I guess that decides it for me too! Another item for the 2002 overhaul list.

I agree. I've had mine for about three years, and I've never had a problem. It's great.

Yellow Top, love mine, it rocks.

I remember having a slight fitting issue, but relatively easy to fix.

If storage space isn't a big concern, you can always relocate it to the trunk.

I'm thinking that the Red Top is the best choice for me since I still have my stock POS stereo and live in NJ where it gets cold!

There is a tiny, but powerful, battery, but I can't remember the brand name. Andi had one in his Maxima. It was about 1/4th the size of a regular battery. Does anyone remember it? I think Cattman sold them. You could see if he still gets them.

I don't know about SVR's batteries, but that wasn't the brand I was thinking of.
