I get usually ~400 miles.

At that speed
Plan on stopping about every 375-400 miles. When I run up to VA from SC I set the CC @ 79mph and I average about 24mpg. Just FYI On Christmas I borrowed a Passport 8500 from best buy and made it from Fairfax VA to Columbia SC in 5 hours and 45 minutes. I probably averaged (with stops and all) around 85mph. Most of the actual time driving was spent between 95-100mph. You figure 490 miles in 5.75 hours. At that speed I only got around 18mpg. It really helped that there was no traffic too.
Just so you know how fast that really is, it normally takes 7 hours doing 7-9 over the speed limit the whole way.

I average 27-30 MPG on my mixed driving. It's true that your mileage goes to crap when you exceed 80. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. I usually go with 36 PSI in the front and 34 in the rear on my 235/45/17, but it's the same pressure I used with my stock tires too. Drive with the windows up, sunroof tilted (avoids clastrophobia), and pop in a good CD. Just make sure your car is properly running since this will be a long trip.

Ask some of the NE fellas(well medic knows)that went to Maxus. I drove from Boston MA down to DC on 1 full tank.

i need to go more country driving and see what i get, i usually get 300 in the city, but i sit in traffic and drive around full parking lots all the time so i waste a lot, and i dont take it all the way, i dont wanna learn the hard way
low mileage could also be due to the ac compressor being on correct?
for example lately i've only been getting
a little ~280 miles per tank.
but i remember the other tank up before that, i almost reached 380... maybe i hadn't had the AC on all the time, to defog the interior?
weird...
well i'll be driving to toronto from montreal tonight. leaving in about 2 hours. I would like to do like last time and do the trip in around 4 and a half hours ;-) instead of 6... but for fuel economical reasons, i'll probably stick to around 120km's or about 72 miles and hour.
The most efficient speed to cruise at is what? like 60 miles an hour, or 100km's here in canada? Or has that gone up a bit? or?

i'm getting around 280 miles a tank with 60% city / 40 % highway.
All highway, I can get 320 or so. All city I get 240-270.... I still need to get new spark plugs and i'm going to try and find time to change my PCV valve and clean the throttle body this weekend.

I run it down to the grissle and I drive with the cruise control set. On long trips, don't like to accelerate hard so that helps too.
