Dyno plot comparison for Franken Intake on 2k2 Max (for easier viewability)

Taken from MattC's post here. I took both graphs and tried lining them up according to the RPM range.

The graphs seemed to have been scanned differently thus the reason it won't line up directly without some minor modification (e.g. moving the graphs until the rpm range lines up)

It's not a very accurate plot of both graphs but it should give you an idea of how much HP/Torque is gained/lost at a certain RPM range.

I did not resize MattC's graphs as that would just screw up the whole graph.

You can

view the overlay of the graphs here

For your reference, i have lined up the graphs on the 2.5, 4.5 and 6.0k RPM range so the overlays should be accurate at those points.

Here, I fixed it so they overlay better.

Hey, i'm curious. How did you get both graphs to line up properly? Without re-scaling either one of them the RPM's don't line up except at one point or unless you adjust each rpm range accordingly.

Thanks.

Simple, I only stretched the horizontal direction so that the right RPM range spanned the same number of pixels as the other. Then I laid them on top of each other and changed the colors.

Hmm... i did that initially, but wouldn't that make the graph "stretched" as well?

Hmm... then again, they do seem to line up perfectly

Real gains on the intake start at ~5200 and go till you cut it off.

Looks pretty standard for a HAI.

I looked at the charts separately and I must say that the torque curve looks very impressive with the intake. It looks like it really doesn't want to drop.

Is that drop from 4300 to 4700 typical of other HAIs?

How much does NE Dyno charge?

Steve, you got PM.

It gained a hell of a lot on the low end, but it drops off more than stock on the high end. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around???
