I'm to lazy to make a new SN and post...so whoever MaxOwner is, can you post this?
#1 FWD Vs. RWD
#2 Compact (Subcompact?) Vs. Mid-sized
#3 255HP Vs. 215HP
#4 Night/Day dealer service
#5 Night/Day handling
These cars are so different. One is a sports sedan, the other is a sporty sedan. Drive both and see which one you like better. I personally like the Is300 better than my Max, BUT I choose my Max because it was cheaper.
Either way, you can't go wrong.
Also, someone posted JD powers ranking, this is the SAME firm that ranked the Maxima the most dependable entry-level luxury car so....

I can understand getting an IS if you don't want a car quite as large as the Max and you'd prefer RWD (wouldn't we all) and want an auto.
I don't think there is anything wrong with either car. They are just very different.

Still, I thought Fords/Mercury's, Porsche, Audis and others were less dependable then a Nissan.
also, Most of the cars in the Infiniti line up have a twin in the Nissan line up, I30/Max, G20/Sentra/altima, QX4/Pathfinder. Are the frontiers/quests/Xterra's so unreliable that they bring Nissan so much lower then the Infinitis?

From what I understand, JD Powers graphs are owner surveys, not real problems perse. Why would the Infiniti be near the top while Nissan be way below? The I35 and Maxima(which dominates the infiniti sales and makes up alot of the Nissan(Maxima) sales are mechanicaly identical. So it's mostly owner satisfaction surveys not stats based on strictly mechanical breakdowns per automaker.
Nice try anyway! LOL

That doesn't make sense that Infiniti is that high and Nissan is that low. Besides, the Maxima is the most dependable entry-level luxury car according to JD powers. Those Lexus owners will bring up any sort of rating to make their cars look better. Every Lexus Vs (Put car here) always has a JD power post in it.
