There will always be some delay when it downshifts and sometimes upshifts. The TCM has to think for a min. That was a weak design on Nissans part. (That is why Deezo mentioning that he just manually drops it - Refer to your VB Mod thread). The shifts will be faster that is all (from the VB mod that is).

BOO!! I guess I was born to be lagged

Syki,

Does the VB jolt you back in your seat somewhat ? The reason I ask is becuase our stock auto's shift instantly, but it is just plain weaksauce. It's softer than whipped cream. I guess what you mean by power is it will shift like a 5spd?

I installed my transgo kit about a year ago/ It will make the tires chirp second usually only if it is a little wet outside. It did make a big difference to the car and the way it shifted. I also put in a 2900 rpm torgue converter. This mod definately made the car jump off the line quicker. Even with my bigger than factory tires now i gotta worry about traction problems most of the way through 1st gear if i nail it. Before the torque converter it would just put out a little chirp when i floored it. I dont think my vg30e has too much low end power but it starts to come alive around 2700-3000.

BTW your sig says you have a 1998 maxima. Other than that and the shifting I seen the same results in my 87 maxima with a torque convertor.
