Repairing busted aluminum case?

Is there any way besides JBWeld to repair a busted cast aluminum transmission case ? Reason I ask is the 16,000 mile transmission i bought has a busted case and if I could repair it, it would be good as new.

Take it to a welding shop.

Bingo. Aluminum welding would be the best solution, as well as the strongest. I dont trust JB weld enough to use if for reairs like that.

Since it is a cast piece >>

Welding is a good choice. I would not recommend this fix if it were billet.
