hey I'm new to this site but I jus bought my second 4th generation maxima n it's drives jus as great as my last one..anyway I noticed my new one definitely has a bumpier ride..I jus had the brake s done and was told the front struts are busted...the little plastic thingy That holds the lubricant is busted..I don't know if I need to have them repaired or replaced..I still have my old maxima but I was t-boned and the frame is bent which is y I bought a new one...I drove it for a few months after the accident and it drove jus like it always did..smooth as ever...if I do need new struts would it b wise to take the ones off my old car and put them on my new car? any advice would help thanks

Once the struts leak oil, you need to replace them. If you t-boned car is a 4th gen, then you can swap between the 2 cars.

 

I'd definitely take the suspension from the old Max if there's nothing wrong with it. They are interchangeable.

 

Considering the age of the car, I would also replace the springs with new Moog ones and then also use KYB or Tokico struts.

I have had good results with this.

 

I didn't want to do the standard intake location, as that would have been boring.
