Hi guys, Im looking for some expert advice for my brother in-law.. He has a 2001 maxima SE with a auto trans. wrecked it over the weekend.. he has found a 2000 se shell and manual transmission.. Will the '01 motor match up with the '00 tranny. We have called around and checked the web with conflicting results. some say np but the bell housing needs to be swapped, others say that the crank in the manual engine is drilled for a throw out bearing I am hoping someone has either experienced this or has seen it before. thanks..

 

I'm pretty sure it matches up fairly easily, but you can do a search on a transmission swap and see what you find with that. A number of orgers used to swap out their auto trans for manual back in the day with the 2k and 2k1 models.
