Look at the video title "VIAS" as it is a variable intake system. The Nissan part is called a "swirl valve". You can look on here doing a search for "VIAS" or "power valve" and problem as some people have had problems and fixed it themselves. Do your search in the 5th gen discussion forum to show the results that apply.

You can also look through the Nissan manual which you can download from this link below.

The part in question is section EC and starts on page 525.

ok thx for this link... okay so now i know that its open ... its supossed to send vaccum to the actuator to close it at idle (low rpm) to make a swirl in the intake for fuel consumption... but i found that its read on the TPS sensor ... and im sure that mine is not adjusted propely... ive adjusted to 0.48v last year but i know that you need to adjust with feeler gauge... i saw all the procedure in your link YAYY i will start to adjust this thing first. thx again

Welcome...keep in mind the valve opens at a certain RPM. I can't remember...but I think it is around 4500 or something, which I'm sure relates to the TPS percentage.

Ok ive seen that the "swirl valve" close only when cold ...this thing work only for cold start?? ....and for the tps adjustement its a pain in the a$$ ..i follow the procedure on your link and its dosent work at all with feeler gauge...lol and it a nissan corporation procedure...even in the mitchell on demand its the same..and its do not work at all...the tranny (auto) was sliping hard ...so i adjusted with the maxima.org procedure ..i found on a thread that you need to adjust it to 0.55 - 0.60v... And now its shift pretty well ... I will never touch this sensor anymore haha ... And for the VIAS unit on the plastic intake, i remove it to see if everything was good and it was near to break it was all loose ...i fix it out
