SC is finally out!
Yesterday, with the helpful hands of Jaime(JAY25), we got the SC out and most of the stock parts back in. Mucho gracias a mi amigo Jaime!
Today, I finished it up by putting the stock air box back in. I'm waiting for the CAI to come in. Everything seem to be running fine. I have a few questions.
After putting everything back on, I started up the car and reved up the car a few times. IIRC, twice I had some sort of exhaust backfire. It's hard to describe, but it sounded like a pop. What could cause this? I drove around to see how the car ran. Seems fine except for an odd sound, sounded like it came from my ypipe, rt cat, or exhaust. No noticeable damages to them. I did notice the ypipe was either leaking or seeping some moisture/gas. Any ideas?
Btw, I still have the one step colder spark plugs in there.
Thanks.

So now with out the aid of a high pressure fuel pump and with your colder spark plugs and confused ECM you may have the reason for your back firing. I would change the plugs and give the car a good 30 miles to re-learn hte air/fuel ratio.

No, I didn't disconnect the battery the time we were working on the car. I did disconnect it yesterday afternoon after I put in the stock air box.

Nah, I don't think I will. I'm just going with pure cosmetic stuff now. The only thing I might get is a tranny rebuild because Don said there might be rust in my tranny. There was rust in the VB I sent back to him, so I got to get it checked first.
Btw, nice sig.
