Since the ZT-3 doesn't pick up the RPM signal like the ZT-2 and PLX, how exactly do you plan on datalogging and tuning?

Replaced the driver's door power window motor in my 97. Eight months ago, October 3rd, I did the same thing. Good old autozone parts.

But this time I was thinking when doing the diagnosis. When a window doesn't work, is it the switch or the motor? It's real easy. Pop the window switch out and check the voltage on the wires that go from the switch to the motor. No need to take the door panel off for testing.

Not today but yesterday, Drive her back to So. Cal on one tank. 425 miles on one tank. Very not bad. This was the finish of a 1892 mile trip that took place in less then 2 weeks.

I put on a set of g35 rays on my '99 the other day and had to file a police report today because some lowlife decided to slash all my tires and key my car while I was at work... One step forward and two steps back..

Replaced the rear sunshade with one that works better, won't reflect light back into my eyes and has all four mounting points. This one works so much better.

Changed my brakes for the front and finally finished sanding all four calipers after two days of cleaning the rust and crap off them and got them painted.

Then I sat there after sitting for like 7 hours in the sun and questioned my priorities in life.

What did the after pictures look like? The before pics were certainly gunked up. When I did a TB cleaning on my previous 4th gen, it looked like yours. When my car started after the cleaning, the RPMs jumped to like 1800 whereas before the RPMs would go to 1100.

Okay, it was yesterday...

I bought it!

2012 Maxima, 39 miles on it, full tech package.

Today I loaded the entire Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin catalogs on the Music Box hard drive. Yeah, I'm old, but that Bose system is sweet!

I'm so happy that it plays surround-sound DVD-Audio discs! I thought that was something I was sacrificing when I traded in my old Acura.

I cleaned the EGR tube too. I didn't get any after pics, but it was a night and day difference. The car stars easier, runs smoother, HUGE difference. Although it does still idle pretty high for the first few minutes. I still have to do the spark plugs and fuel filter and then Seafoam. The previous owner obviously neglected the car pretty badly.

Ripped apart the *** end. Pulled bumper cover, bumper, all the evap stuff, ripped out the rotted LHS vertical trunk floor panel. Swept up about 8 lbs of rust. Cut out a section of LH trunk floor panel. Inspecting the rest to see what other metal to replace. Grinding out some rock hard seam sealer. Hopefully I'll be able to clear out all the cancer this weekend and start welding in patches next week.

Reset my check engine light. P0139. It came on yesterday after I got off of an expressway.
This is the 2nd time. The other time was last December when It was about 20 degrees Fahrenheit and I started up the car cold. I suppose it will be back eventually.

Did a valve cover gasket change on the 6th gen which hopefully has alleviated my oil leak. Then noobish-ly switched two of the coil packs around (DOH!!) Granted, it was my first time doing something like that.

Airbag light and nasty trunk rattle

My car developed a nasty trunk rattle that was directly related to the driver's side rear strut. I could push down on that side gently and easily hear this "errrrr" sound. Annoying as freaking hell. So I ripped out all the trunk liner that covers the back seat area and exposes the rear strut mounts. I liberally sprayed liquid wrench on the strut mount assembly. No dice. Still "errr." So then I went buck wild and sprayed the entire rear metal back plate that supports the back seat. Problem solved. Apparently one of the welds back there has come loose. I know its only a matter of time for that sound to return once the lubrication dries up. But for now, peace on earth and good will towards men

For the airbag light, thanks to inctructions here on max.org, it was the side airbags harnees issue, quite common on 4th gens. Since I knew I was going to work on the airbags, I un-plugged the battery before I started working on the trunk rattle mentioned above. This gave some time for any residual electrical charges to dissipate. Once I got the rattle sorted out, I attacked the side airbag harness. I removed the back padding of the front seat, found the yellow airbag connector, unplugged and sprayed liquid wrench all over. Then I sort of half plugged and unplugged the harness connector several times to scrape off any debris from the connectors. There is also another yellow connector underneath the drivers seat at the very front. I cleaned up that connector too. Since what happened to the drivers side bag will probably happen to the passenger side airbag, I cleaned that one up as well. I plugged the battery back in a turned on the light. The airbag was still flashing, but it was the "all-good" sequence as told by the FSM. On for a long time, then off for a long time, the airbag light doing that repeatedly. I turned off the keys, turned on again and pushed the drivers door ajar button several times to have the airbag computer reset. Done. Problem solved.

I polished the right side fogged up headlamp on my 97 and clear-coated it. Still have to do the left side. I wish they were glass so I wouldn't have to do this.

Today i bought a tap and die set from harbor freight to fix my control arm bolt and also the hole it goes into. I had to buy the $89.99 set and it worked great bolts up nice and straight and tight.

Kinda delayed since it wasn't today, but I took off some of that stick-on wood trim I put on my dashboard last year except for where I actually wanted it. Ended up ruining my vent piece, so after ordering 2 different ones on eBay (one was off-color and the other wasn't in good shape), I found out a new one at the dealer was the same price as the beat up one, so I'm just waiting for my dealer to tell me it's in

Ordered a right rear window regulator for my 97 from rock auto. Window goes down but won't go up.

What I found to be interesting was that the regulator without the motor is $43. The motor by itself is also $43.

But a regulator with motor is $167!
