What did you do to your Maxima/I-series today?

Replaced the rr power window motor in my 97. I originally thought it was the regulator because I could hear the motor run and the window didn't move. But if you grabbed the glass with your hand, you could move it up and down. I put in a new regulator and had the same problem, so I replaced the motor and that was the problem.

Mounted my aeromotive fpr to my firewall finally and trimmed the hoses to make it look right and function properly.
Ran out of hose though after the auto stores closed..so I'll be looking for one that's open tomorrow so I can start it up and check for leaks.
Way overdue project..my fault with the bad timing.

Replaced the driver side lca. Went pretty smooth since I didn't remove the axle. I have a bad strut mount on that side too. With the bad ball joint and strut mount it made highway drives with right curves a white knuckle driving experience.

Between yesterday and today:
change oil, new fuel filter, replaced IACV, cleaned MAF, put in new spark plugs and changed the power steering fluid. The car runs so smooth now
And painted my wiper arms, now they won't be reflecting the sun in my eyes any more

Changed the lower oil pan
lessons learned
i) I was too impatient with the lower oil pan instead of waiting until not a single drop of oil was dripping I just waited until there was just tiny miniscule amounts of oil dripping, basically my usual oil change process. The minute I undid most of the bolts I got a nice face full of dirty sludge sh*t motor oil so I had to go to a emergency room after finishing install and my shirt got destroyed -_-".
Installation itself was fairly easy. I used a lot of PB blaster... Cleaned up the area with brake fluid and gasoline... Installed the lower oil pan with RTV black then let the car sit for 30 minute. Torqued bolts to spec. Filled the car up with engine oil (I reused) + some new motor oil... Checked if the bottom was leaking ... Started the car
Installation took about 1.5 hours.
I highly recommend owners of older series Maximas replace this!
Next up on my list is the transmission pan

You wouldnt happen to know if this is possible with a 6th gen? I read the instructions on the post you mentioned and they are pretty darn straight forward, but cannot find any mention of a power window relay in the wiring diagrams that I have for the 6th Gen.

fixed a squeak that had evaded me for 4+ years turns out it was the stoppers the hatch sits on, they look fine, but had gone hard and created awesome squeaking as the hatch moves on them
solved it with some RTV Silicone, and will consider forking out the $100-150 for the replacements eventually

Replaced right and left parking brake cables on my 98 MAX today. Got the Dorman C95003 and C95004 cables for only $63 total on www.ebay.com. I slowly poured 20W20 non-detergent oil down both cables to extend their lifetime.

On my '97 SE DD; Enjoying my snow tires on the alloy 5-spokes. Replaced the corner clear bulbs with sears hardware amber. Installed aem dryflow sri. Just received my warpspeed y-pipe which is going on with a hi-flo cat and apexi world speed cat-back which has an additional resonator installed. Perfect time for a short throw and I started making my list on ebay after reading and I had my cheap shifter, boot, ****, all found and as I was looking for a bushing to top it all off I stumbled across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151232615716?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D151232615716%26_rdc%3D1#shpCntId Now I just need the boot, bushing, and maybe a new spring. Thinking black suede for the boot, stock shifter bushing, and a spring. BTW nice shifter up there, and I see you EU man... haha Enjoy!
