New Wiring Harness needed?

I ordered these 9004 Hiper High Intensity Discharge HID xenon bulbs from ebay. they say that they don't over heat and that the wiring is protected, but everything else that I've heard on this site mentions upgrading the wiring harness. will these bulbs burn out my stock wiring? thanks.

here is some info about the bulbs. They were $15, which might be a bad thing.

Re: New Wiring Harness needed?

As far as I know Hiper bulbs aren't DOT approved which means they're for off road use only.

I use Hiper bulbs, and they've melted my harnesses once already (tend to go every 2-4 months) .. Get an upgraded harness, or make one yourself (ie, upgrading the power & ground wiring to your current harnesses.)

I recommend getting the harness to save you a lot of trouble in case it does melt your stock harness or socket. At least with the upgrade harness you can use overwattage bulbs safer than without it. You can get them here:
