2000 I30 parts for a 4th gen??

Has anyone tried to use I30 parts to mod a 4th gen?? I read that the changes to the 2000 I30 (from the 99) weren't that major and was wondering if some of these parts could be used for a 4th gen to improve the power of the 4th gen.

i was wondering if the I30 exhaust manifolds and variable induction intake could be used in a 4th gen?? any thoughts on this??

well i might be mistaken, but from what I've read, the 99 I30 had 190 hp and the 2000 produced 227. the difference was a the 2000 model's variable induction intake, new exhaust manifolds and a variable capacity muffler (a muffler design inspired from the skyline's muffler) , as well as some other things.

if those parts could be used in a 4th gen perhaps the similar hp gains could be realized.

get it now??

The I30 parts are the same as the 5th gen parts, theres no difference. I also highly dow't the I30 really has 5 more HP over the 00-01 max's{it looks good on paper}. The varaible muffler will have to be welded on by a muffler shop. Do a search for the variable intake manifold. It can be put on but it is pretty complicated to do. As far as I know Jim Wolf Technology is the only person {company, really} to make it work.

What about the LSD?

The '00/'01 I30s were available with an LSD, and the 5th gen Maximas were not(I think!). Any chance of the LSD being retrofitted? It probably doesn't work as well as the Quaife, but one found in a junkyard could be a very cost-effective option.
