Brightest non-HID bulbs

What is the brightest blubs that I can get for my max without converting to HIDs? I know overwattage bulbs are brighter, but out of them what is good?

Well, HID's are way brighter than any halogen bulb but I know Piaa's are bright and there are some other names that I can't think of now. Just one thing, if you do a search on bulbs, you will find a lot of threads on this topic. You will find that you'll need to upgrade your harnesses for the extra wattage of high intensity lighting. Harnesses melt due to the high current load.

Yeah I know about the upgraded harness. But why search when I can have answers come to me? I'm just lazy. Harness = $50, blubs = $10-$40, so thats like $90 for brighter bubls. But HID's I know would kick ***, but they're $400-$600 plus you lose High beams. So I'm going for the cheaper alternative.

Try Zenon Diamond Blue bulbs from J C Whitney. 80/100 watt Nice HID type color, brite, and you can actually see in the rain with them.

Now you may upset some people around here (along with the moderators) then. Search before you ask.

Go with the PIAA Superwhite or Xtreme white for the 9004 or H4 depending on your year. It will give off a brighter and whiter output for Halogen bulbs. One of the best bulb around other than going HID. You don't even need a wire harness to run the PIAA if you stick with the factory wattage. The bulbs will cost you more than just $10-40. Good luck!

Piaa's are good, but they don't make the Xtreme's in 9004. And the Piaa superwhites 9004 (which I have) are going to cost $50+

This might help

I compared a few different bulbs.

If you want good bulbs for a really good price, I'd check out the Philips Bluevision. You can get them at Kmart for about $20/pair and they are almost identical to my Piaa superwhites

The PIAA USA just came out with the Xtreme white at 4150K for the 9004. Xtreme white is brighter than the Superwhite. You can find it on most PIAA reseller sites now. But it's true that PIAA bulbs are not cheap in prices but I can vouch it is one of the best in the market.

Do you have a link?
I know that they recently made the 9006 xtreme's available, but I never found anything about the 9004?

And yes the Xtreme's are better than the superwhite. I have the xtreme's in my fogs, and WOW much brighter.

Here's one place that sells them on-line. Kind of pricey on the PIAA bulbs.

89-99 Maximas use 9004, 2000+ use H4.

A) At least you're honest.

B) That tone here immediately gets you on the bad side of moderators.

C) I don't like you right now, which isn't a good omen of your future here on dot org.

D) THINK before you type such things.

E) I'll remember this next time you ask a question (such as this) that I could answer in a couple of sentences and 10 seconds of my time. Right now, you've illustrated you're not worthy of 10 seconds of my time to help.

Man you people are kinda strict about things. Didn't know a little sarcastic comment would get me in trouble.

Well you should have added "j/k = Just kidding" at the end of your comment.
