Auto ECU in a standard WITHOUT codes?

Auto ECU in a standard WITHOUT codes?
Has anyone here ever tried to get an auto ECU to work in a standard car and not pull codes? I know its a PIA but Ive got the opportunity to get my hands on a technosqure ECU...
