Need some opnions

Wassup maxima people. Just need some input
I had a 4th gen max that hit in a hit and run and now im carless. Now i have 8grand to spend. I want a reliable but faster then my 4th gen max car . So pretty much i was thinking 2k2 or 2k3 6spd since i can get one for about 3-4k and drop 2k on some bolt ons and fun stuff and it still be reliable But a friend told me might be better of getting a g35x. So just some opinions caused i loved my 97se but i got spanked but a 99gti , a ****ing 07 miata and a 13 accord v6. Im sick of taking L's lol. Might be a bias post but give me input please

Is the G35x the AWD version? If so, that thing is gonna be one heavy pig.

Yup, two diffs. That's why I asked for the weight of the G35x you're considering. You should figure out the power to weight ratio of any car you're considering.

G35x is heavier thanks to AWD, slower than a 5.5gen hands down, my boy in Jersey had one of those (the model years you mentioned). Those stats you posted are for the RWD version with manual, the AWD will not perform the same.
It's noticeably slower top end, but the AWD does give improvement and ease of launching.

Now if you can find a RWD G35 with manual, that also came with sports tuned suspension.

Or just stick with a good ol 5.5gen Maxima 6MT, if you can find one.

6MT is about .5 seconds quicker with a good driver, both 0-60 and in the 1/4 mile.

And of course, manual is way funner to drive.
