That 3rd gen ad seems misleading to me. It looks good because it appears lowered.

Me too, but 3rd gens in great condition are impossible to find. I think I'd have an easier time finding Bigfoot. 3rd gens sure do look great in black.

I saw a guy driving a cream colored 3rd Gen a few months ago in San Diego. It was in pristine condition and looked great. I didn't get a chance to look at it up close but it looked like it was well taken care of. It was the 3rd Gen that got me hooked on Maxima's along with Nissan's funny commercials from back then.

Down here in the L.A area I see quite a few 3rd gens still and alot of them in decently good condition. Yeah that pearl white on the 3rd gen was nice as heck and was actually an extra cost option then, it really looks good on the GXE's. In paticular the 92-94 with the bright polished rims and restyled grille and tail lights.

The first 3rd gen to arrive at my dealer was a beautiful light cream. The 3rd gen shape and styling was the perfect canvas for that shade. A timeless automobile design adorned in a tastefully classic color.

Yes it has and is for sure a timeless design, it and the 90 300zx both are for that matter! Another honarable mention from that era is the 1990 Acura Legend!

I've always liked the Maximas as well. But this commercial sold me on the 7th gen:

There was a third gen commercial with a squadron of birds chasing it after the owner just washed and waxed it that was pretty decent. hafta see if I can find the clip.

Wish I could find my 4th gen brochures....the 1998 one has a blue SE running through a country road and the profile was chosen to make it look stanced as hell. It looked really cool. To be fair there were other pics like the white GXE in a studio. It was new and clean but the stance was not hidden, not too flattering. Come to think of it, maybe that was on purpose....buy the SE and not the GXE, it's baaaaaad.

What? the 3rd gen VG motor had a dual stage intake manifold? From what I remember about driving it, it had strong get up and go, but top end wasnt exciting. 4th gen was better up to 5500 rpm or so, then finally the 5th gen with 00VI took the 3.0 all the way to redline, going hard all the way there.

I have all 95-2003 brochures. I'm gonna have to dig them up and look at what you're describing.
