was under the impression you could enter the VIN from a vehicle and see what options it had. True or false?

Assuming its true....can someone provide a link?

Saw that, but didn't see where you could enter the VIN and have all the options pop up.

 

yeah that would be nice. the forums used to/still have one but, my 01 max came out as Toyota Tacoma or some crazy stuff.

 

Are you talking about a free software to decode vin number?

 

The VIN number within itself, other than basic power train info, does not contain options that may be on the car. That means that, in order to obtain options, any software would need to use the VIN to reference Nissan Corp data files. Nissan does have this info, and there are ways this can be done. Nissan dealers can do this, but I don't know how we 'laymen' can do this.
