Removing the front bumper?

Do I need to remove the headlights to take off the front bumper? I believe there some metal brackets under the headlights that are holding the front bumper? Would I able to just slip the front bumper off without removing the headlights to get to these brackets? Anyone have first hand experience on this?

it's just basically bolted to the fender

Thanks William. Good thing because I have no idea how to reaim the headlight I need to get my front bumper repainted and really don't like leaving the whole car at the body shop.

Are you sure about that?? When I took my front bumper off, when i got in the wreck, i took the headlights out and could have sworn that there are two little strips(I think weather sealent strip thingies) that are screwed underneath the headlights. Whether or not you have to take them off to get the bumper I am not sure. I took them off to get the bumper off, but i think you maybe able to get the bumper off by leaving them on. Give it a try and if it doesn't come off them you know you have to take them off.

no you don't!

you need to remove the grill cause there are like 3 crews under there, and the headlights, there is just rubber to house the headlights, just pull out. i did this last weekend. the headlights are so easy to reaim. there is 2 prongs (sticks behind the housing) use a wrench to turn. top is to go up and down, bottom is to go left and right. if you just take out ur housing, you will not mess up the aim! 2 10mm bolts in the rear and 2 on the side after you remove the side markers!

i learned how to do this after they stole mine off last year! takes like 20 minutes if u slow and 10 if u have power tools! hard part is to find the nuts! have fun tony
