So I sold my 97 GXE to my mom yesterday. Its not 100% back to stock yet. It has my Cattman Y-Pipe, Stillen RSB and SMC STS that still have to come off the car, but she doesn't mind if I do that at a later date.

Here are some pics of it now that its back to stock. I especially like this one! Note the more than 5 finger wheel gap on a stock suspension.

Dunno yet. I want to get it off the car and inspect the condition of it. I don't think its in very good shape, but I can't really tell with it on the car.

no the 97 GXE is a Maxima.. the GXE

the SE is a minima.. plus superblack paint makes you a minima also..

I'm not going to admin my car is a "Minima". Its quiter, way less rattles, and is a nicer car than my 97 was.

Besides, I didn't pay all that much more for it, so its not like I got bent over and paid sticker price when it was new.

 

Minima definitions are not personal.. they are by default.. they were issued for the car..not the owner..

no matter how many rattles your 97 had.. it had "Neptune Blue" paint.. it was a 4th Gen 5spd GXE so its automatically out..

no matter how little rattles your 99 has.. the fact its an "SE" and it has "Superblack Paint" its automatically in

its never personal my friend.. thats just how the minima's and maxima's are..

I ALMOST made all VE Maximas automatic Minimas but I just couldn't since they are so much better built than 4th and 5th gens......and, of course, the fuzzy pilllars....

its interesting that I owned ejj's GXE even when he had more mods than me and NOW that he has an SE he is just as fast

 

#1 you still own a minima
#2 who knew the condition of ejj's GXE vs his SE vs your SE.. who knows if a little carbon buildup cleaning wouldn't have put his GXE over your head.. you know they all have the same engine .. don't tell anyone..

Aaron, I wouldn't say that you owned me. Every time we were at the track together who won the majority of the races?

Sprite, I know they are different cars, but I have to agree with Aaron. The new SE does feel faster than the GXE ever did. Maybe its just my imagination, but I took them both to my local community college a few weeks ago, and did notice a difference.

And no, I have never taken the seats out of the GXE to race, just to run wires.

 

don't mind aaron.. he is on top of the world.. and he deserves to feel so..

yeah like i said.. they all have different engines.. we don't know what was the deal with any.. your 99 is newer so it is more likely to be in better shape.. and i don't know about aaron's 97 vs your 97 .. who knows..
