The most popular yellow foglight bulb here is the

Hella Yellowstar. It comes in 55w (stock H3), and 85w versions. Maxima owners who have used 85w have experience lens cracking due to high heat buildup, especially if something cold like snow hits the hot lens. I've seen a comparison of the Hella Yellowstar 55w vs. the stock H3's, and there isn't much difference in illumination except for the color. In my opinion it is not worth it.

Besides, yellow fogs would ruin whatever "superwhite" bulb you prolly have in your headlights. When you look at the road, you'll see your "white" headlight output marred by yellow foglight, so it'll end up a "yellow" combination just like as if you had stock bulbs.

Eric's on point about the Yellowstars >>

But using yellow light is matter of functionality. Yellow works better in inclement weather...especially fog. If your concern is more usful light...get the Yellowstars...if not, stick with those super/white/blue/icyhot/xenon bulbs that are available anywhere.

I run the 55W Yellowstars...they are definitely better than the OEM bulbs in the rain at night...and honestly...I think it looks nice with the yellow light too...

am trying to make my car look like the GS400 with HIDs...! the GS too runs on yellow fogs and bright a#* HIDs on the top...so!

I know yellow fogs "cut thru" the bad weather better than blue blubs...!

both my friends with GS400s and M3s recommend the yellow fogs and superwhites on the top

Ion Crystals

The other alternative is the PIAA Ion Crystals. I bought them because I couldn't easily find the Yellow Stars, but I have been very happy with them.

Try going to autooptiks.com

Thats where I got my headlights... just be sure to give them a call and see if they have it in stock.... I had to wait like 1 month for my "astra ultra whites" aka hella blue... so be sure to give them a call if you like their stuff...
