Hello, this is my first post on here.

I have a 2004 maxima sl automatic 3.5.

I recently had the transmission solenoids repaired. The car seemed to work fine however I recently took it on the highway and going around 85mph I noticed my car was running at 3100 rpms. Im not sure but it seems a little higher than I remember. I believe ot used to run under 3000 rpms, usually around 2800, I could be wrong tho. Does this seem high to any of you? What do you guys usually run at those speeds?

 

Don't usually run at 85 mph as it's not really that safe, but if I'm up that high, 2800 rpm is about right. I'be been up in the 90s, and still not hit 3000 rpm.

 

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was running high. I'm not sure what to do about it now tho. Any ideas?

 

You never specified if you were a 4AT or 5AT.

 

I actually just found out today that I have the 4 speed. I always thought it was 5 but I was wrong.
