Just gained some more power with......

Simply changing the fuel filter.

I had noticed lately that the car seemed to be running a bit lean, so I replaced the fuel filter while the brakes were being done yesterday, and I immediately noticed a nice gain across the rpm band!

I can feel the Y-Pipe gain even more now!

I was going to change the spark plugs before running at the strip later today, but I may not be able to get them in time. Oh well, the fuel filter should help.

I can't wait to see your times

We have a pretty good group going now, it should be fun tomorrow at the track. What time are you officially shoting for? 14.4? sounds reasonable with your driving skill. I will be there a little before they open to let my car cool off, see you there.

Yep, my spark plugs are ordered but not in yet, and I haven't had a chance to change my fuel fiter yet (ABS so I hear the install SUCKS)... The car is about to tick over 60k so both need to be done ASAP, but maybe I can use those as my excuses tomorrow??? LOL

It added power across the rpm band. It felt before like it was running lean. The repsonse is better too.

I am not going to say what times I am shooting for, I just want to beat my old best.

How many miles did you have the old one? I think I'm at 22K miles on this filter.
