I know exactly what makes this car a great machine, body structure, engine, weight, drive wheels, and the best quality (MODABILITY!!)

Gtr I'm not after you man you obviously as well as a few others have some appreciation for the 52/48 weight distribution, and the structure of the vehicle.Your not the one I was directing this at.

I think the car is awesome too! Infact when it comes out with a 6spd I will really like it. I have no respect for it's "automatic only" situation though. A sports car with only an auto? Sheeesh.. Other than that I LOVE the car. I hate that violet color though.

well I think of it as a little ugler RWD altima with a maxima engine and a CAI for a extra few Hps. Also I thought the G35 was supossed to be like a USA version skyline

Gorgeous, in my opinion, at least from the front and sides..The rear is okay, not bad, but not strikingly beautiful.... however I'll drive one any day!!!! Overall I am very impressed.....I really like the long hood.

The G35 has the skyline platform.

That is one of the best looking cars out there. Very clean lines. Beautiful. I like how they modified the intake to put the additional inlet in it. That's probably good for a few horses right there.

This IS the (Sedan/normal) Skyline (Nissan V35 right?) It's not the same as the Skyline GT-R (R35).

Anyone notice... >>

...that the front portion of the frame or the radiator support...is made of plastic composite?

I think the G35 is really nice. The rear trunk lid/light styling is a little off in my opinion...okay but it could be better...but the rest of the car is nice. I think some lowering springs and aftermarket wheels would really make the car look aggressive.

The interior is really nice. Very teutonic. Love it.

And talk about engine mods. This car is based of the 350Z platform, so I would expect a lot of the upcoming 350Z mods would also fit this car. The 350Z looks like it'll have 280+ HP, so I would imagine it'd be possible to drop the OEM parts from the Z into the G35 to give more power. It's probably a reasonable guess that you could get 300+ HP out of a G35 with a combination of off-the sheld N/A modifications and 350Z OEM parts. Ditto for suspension mods.

The fact that this car is only comes with an auto at the moment is not a big deal to me. It has the sport shift thingy which serves that purpose. The car would likely not be much quicker with a 6-speed anyway. Witness the 2002 Maxima auto vs 6-speed stats. Add some more HP and torque to the 350Z, and the auto will likely be as fast if not faster than a 6-speed.

Looks nice. How was the inside? Roomy? Luxury? I figure so but just curious.

Honestly, I'd rather have a hood prop >>

You'd never have to worry about replacing worn hood struts or worry about the wind blowing the hood shut on top of your head.

In terms of the whole car, I'm with Keven on this.

And Emax, don't sweat it, the platform is shared with the Z...if the Z has a 6-speed, I'm sure it won't be too long before the G has it too.

Re: More pics (quite large)

Wow, that is a nice color! Looks like a very very dark purplish blue. The front end of the car (grill especially) looks better in the darker color than silver.

Very nice.

I like those wheels a lot, too.

My thoughts exactly.

How's the Brochure only gonna give 255hp with that intake? I don't remember seeing that intake on the Max... Unless I just missed it.

The web site gives it 260hp @ 6000 and 260ft lbs @ 4800.
Seems like it's based more on the Altima than the Max. ??
There are a lot of styling ques from the Audio 4 class and the Lexus IS300.
I kind of like the 3 spoke wheel. Wonder if it's smaller than the max. Seat position controls look like their on the right side bolster. Foot parking brake. Lots of retro here too.
I like it but need to see one in person before I consider one. I just hope their out before my lease is up. Might op out of the 6-speed for this. My dealer doesn't expect on for another month.
