The other day, some kid in my metals car was asking me about my car, and so I told him, blah blah blah..The specs, my 0-60 time, etc. Then another kid, who was acting like I had insulted him by talking about my car, tried to tell me off because the Max (90 auto) is a family car. He thought I only had 4 cylinders, too. Dumb a$$. So after school, we head to the quarter mile, him in his mommy's 96 Cutlass, and we do afew runs. I let the car shift itself the first time, and I lost by about 2 car lengths. He, of course, shifted manually. The second time, I also shift manually, and I send his a$$ back to school. One more run, I botch up the launch, forgetting to turn off over drive, and there isn't even a chance for me. Technically, I lost 2 out of 3, but when I did it right, I killed him. I was really suprised he could get up and go so quickly in that hunk of crap. I really need to work on my racing skills. BTW, long ago, I lost to a 94 Buick Skylark GS with a bored engine (4 liters). But that was before I knew how to race, and before I got my new engine. Hopefully next time I won't be so scatter brained and I can race competently.
