ECU tune after exhaust/intake thought

Some cars, for example a Subaru.. Needs a tune for simple mods like a full performance exhaust due to their sensitive ECUs. Now why is it even thought of to do this when it isn't directly modifying the internal parts. It's understood that those two common bolt on mods can affect flow/power for the better but does it really affect AFR that much? 2 years ago I got my whole exhaust replaced on my 4th gen, including headers along with a CAI. I never got a tune but it runs fine. Different scenario, I know. Every manufacturer/car has it's own situation when it comes to ECU tuning/engine modifications and write ups. What is your thought on this?

Every bit of Hp and Tq matter❗Get it tuned with proven parts to get the best potential.

simple answer...subbie has a large modding community that's willing to pay for mods and technology.

maxima?...not so much so things are not really developed for the maxima.

your car will run fine since the stock ECU/MAF can accommodate the extra air flow from the intake/exhaust.

Makes sense. I know this community isn't very large compared to others. I figured the ECU would have recalculated for it to work.
