Rust repair thread
I see a lot of threads about rust this and rust that. And if you just go to a body shop then this doesn't apply to you.
But if you want to do things,on a budget. This thread is for you.
I am not a body expert, but i will pick a few rust repair projects and go through what I have done to fix them.
I will show 4 repairs in this thread.
One radiator support fix
two rear quarter panel
third a under body spot, it appears someone thought was a jack point.
fourth rocker seem crushed by poor jacking technique
I will show the progress in 4 separate posts below for each one. If you want any pictures taken or shown. prices or anything about any one just post.

Radiator support
Get a Nissan support. My lock support was also bad i replaced it.And i seam welded the new radiator support completely.(doesn't need to be done)
Untouched picture first one
second, third and forth picture, showing area i drilled spot welds out. And ground with a grinder.
I drill in areas grinder can't get. some people may want to drill out all. I prefer the grinder.
Fourth picture you can see the spot welds they put on the sides. When you drill start with a small bit .and use cutting oil and go slow. After you do that with a small bit step up to a bigger one slightly bigger than the spot weld.

This eliminates the lower support from holding the C-member?
I have minor rust in and around the body of this 01. Basically Ive sanded the rust spots(usually on the edges around the window) with 180-240 grit. Then prime, paint, clearcoat.
Even if the touch up paint doesnt match too well its better than rust right?
