Maxima.org mentioned in the March 02 edition of Motor Trend!

On pg 122 of the new Motor Trend starts a 4 page article on the one year test of the 2000 Maxima SE. AND They mention the org (sort of)

Quote from pg 125
"Not long after the Maxima joined our fleet we were barraged with e-mails from several Maxima owners complaining of a fuel-starvation problem. They even set up a web site with a fourm to trade stories about it"

What other web site could they be talking about?!

No mention of the website anywhere... I doubt it will.

And the correct quote is: "Not long after the Maxima joined our fleet we were barraged with e-mails from several Maxima owners complaining of a fuel-starvation problem. They even set up a web site with a chat room to trade stories about it."

Chatroom doesn't equal forum (although it feels like it sometimes).

And also, from what the author implies, "they" probably equals "Nissan" so therefore the author is saying the Nissan set up a website with a chatroom to talk about the stories. And as we all know, this site is not sponsored by Nissan.

Nissan did pretty good in this month's Motor Trend mag... they tested the G35 and says "many car company have try to come out with a car that handles and run like German cars, this car is the closest one", and they say a bunch of good thing about the 2000-01 max, except the rear, and they give some good note on the last gen Q45..

I am sory, you are right about the quote, but when it says "they", it is refering to the e-mails they got.

Send 'em a letter to the editor, something like "In your [blah blah blah] article in your [date] issue you mentioned that there is a great place where Maxima owners congregate on the web, but you didn't say where! You'll find us at www.maxima.org."

Letters to the editor are read by more folks than just about anything in a magazine if I am not mistaken.
