Throttle body Disaster

My neighbor was working on his car and he heard that cleaning the Throttle body chamber is very beneficial. He comes over and told me the straw that came with the can might have shot off and into the throttle body. I walked around the garage and couldn't find that straw that might have blown out. We used a vaccuum cleaner to try and suck it back out. No luck. After awhile we start the engine and drive it around for awhile...everythings fine. BTW it's a 99 Toyota Corolla. What would be the worse thing that could happen? I realize if the straw did get shot in, it'd get stuck in the bends of the intake manifold. I'm thinking eventually the staw would melt and find it's way into the valves perhaps.

take off the upper intake manifold. hopefully it didn't melt and go anywhere. i never use the straw because of that reason.

Oooh that's bad if the straw got blown in there. It is likely that unless the straw breaks, it will not find its way far enough to get stuck in an intake valve. I would suggest taking apart whatever it takes to find that straw!

BTW, I use Valvoline synpower cleaner and the straw is permanently attached to the can.

this reminds me of the time my friend's accord got a cheap *** intimidator cold air intake, and his filter fell off. then as he was driving he sucked up an entire "garage sale" sign that was on the ground and had flown up.. luckily no paper was sucked up. a few days later.. his accord was stalling all the time and was revving weird. so i took offf the intake and low-and behold the tape that was used to stick the flyer up, got wedged into the throttle body, it had taken a week or so to slowly climb up the intake and get sucked in.

HAHAHA. so image me just busting up laughing when i saw this... of course to the little amusement to my friend..

so moral of this story.... dont stick things where ur not supposed to. this might also relate to other things such as body parts, and computers.

thank you. and good day.
