Discount Tire

I'm a big fan of Discount Tire and they're tripping lately....I've been running 18" x 7.5" wheels on my 5.5 Gen maxima for 14 yrs...using 245/40/18 that rode very compliant and smooth...Well the wifey took the Maxima to go get the tires balanced and they noticed I was running 245's on a 7'5" rim (14 yrs/4 sets later) and said they're gonna have to correct this problem and replace them for free with 235/40/18 which I tried and they were to firm so I went to the 245's 14 yrs ago for that reason alone and I liked the wider rollers...Something happened and every little thing is an issue such as tires older than 10 yrs they won't touch with a ten foot pole....I'm pretty sure this is a post trumedic sue syndrome where someone blamed Discount for a fatal accident and now they're scared to touch anything not quite by the book! Good luck guys I've decided to upgrade to 18" x 8"....

I solve this problem, very easily. i never bring my car in for service. I bring the rims to a tire place. And leave the car home.
So they have no clue what they go on.
