Problem with solve

When using solve for the mentioned problem, (%i2) maxima produces wrong answer (%o2)
When squaring the sides of the equation (%i3) maxima produces the correct answer (%o3)
Please help, do I have to set any parameters to get the correct answer, without manipulating the equation's form?

Thank you for your support

This is not a Math forum. It's for car enthusiasts who love the Nissan Maxima.

How is it a one post wonder can start his own thread? I thought new users had to have 15 posts before being able to start a thread.

That requirement was eliminated years ago.
