i had an old accord and the clutch feels much like my max is starting to. with the accord, i took it to get inspected and the guy said he would fix the pedal for me. OK i say, he goes under the dash for a minute and its fixed, felt totally different too. just wondering.

If you mean adjusting the release point etc of the clutch pedal, I do not believe that is in the stickies. So I'll post about it. You gotta take a 12 mm open ended wrench, and loosen the nut thats at the top of the clutch pedal that's on a threaded rod. This threaded rod is the actual pluger assembly that goes into the slave cylinder for it to operate. You either unscrew or screw the screw depending on which way you want to adjust the clutch pedal. Do not adjust the clutch pedal to the point that the slave cylinder will preload the pilot bearing. Then the automatic adjustment will kick in and your clutch pedal will be all over the place.
my clutch on the accord soon went out after what the guy did went back to how it was when i brought it in.

It is a comfort thing as well as a performance driving thing. Why do you have adjustable seats and mirrors? same concept. Its definately not preventative maintenence. What happened to me, was when I put the ACT clutch in, it engaged wayyyyyy too low to the floor board for my comfort. So I backed it off about 1/2 an inch and now it is perfect. Typcally for more performance, you want the engage/release point of the clutch to be pretty low to the floor.
