WSP Subframe update and prices

Just got off the phone with Dallas. Here is the scoup on pricing and availability.
95-2000 Stage 1&2 will be ready for shipping on Tuesday. This last week we did some minor tweaking. Price will be the same for all Gen. Our price will be $200. This includes BOTH stages. This is good from Feb 12 until March 12. If you want to get on the list we are now taking names. If you have already bought one of our y-pipes, the $200 price is good for 6 months, until August 12, 2002.
The 2001 SFCs will follow VERY shortly, and the 3rd Gen a short time later.
After 30 days price will jump up to $250. We will also be offering a powder coated version that will only be available through several dealerships. Details will be out on that soon as well.

WSP SFCs

Send Dallas an e-mail bmfjeep@direcpc.com or call our 800 #, listed below. We think they are going to sell fast. First ordered first sent out. Price for just stage 1 will be posted later.

Thanks for the info Dan. BTW that is great pricing even at $250. You cannot beat that. You can be a full on autocrosser for only $250. Well almost a full on autocrosser.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, where would I get them installed? You guys know your stuff but I'm in NY and I think you're too far for me to drive and get them installed from you guys , and I don't want some body shop here messing it all up. I guess I'll have to find a good place. Any suggestions peoplez?

Only way to properly bolt them on would be to remove seats and drill through the floor. Then you have issues with brakes, electrical lines, etc. We looked at this one several times. Welding stage 1 and bolting stage 2 is the best option we can think of.
2002 guys, get a car to our shop is all I can say. My guess is there is really not a big difference and Dallas could easily adjust the bending. I wouldn't wait long on this one as we are adding quite a few more cars over the next few months to the line.
Thanks for your interest.

So are the 3rd gens SFC's (stage I and II) ready for shipment or just the 95-2000?

OK, I have a 2K1 also and am interested. I live in Cincy and the odds of getting there for installation are slim. Do you have "authorized" installers? I know you guys are a small company but thought I would ask any way.

Last I heard they said any competent muffler shop could do the install.

I e-mailed Dallas twice yesterday with questions and his responses were VERY fast and very informative. I personally find their service to be excellent.

I asked about the B-Pipe, here was his response:

"We have a B pipe in process, one
of our vendors is having software problems with their bender so it has been taking longer than expected."

Way to go Warpspeed!!

Thanks for the info...unfortunately I have to find a "competent muffler shop". Not always an easy task. I will email Dallas for further details then.

WSP subframes

Getting these installed is not going to be as hard as some of you think. Go to our web site, down load several PICs, take your car in and show the guy the photo. Keep in mind a DRIVE on hoist is essential for proper fit.Remember a compentent auto mechanic, or welding shop who has overhead welding experience can easily do it. We will be posting install instructions on our site for downloading.
I have not been under a 2002 Max yet, but I bet they are quite close to the 2000-2001s. The 3rd Gen are basically finished. We just need a little longer to check out a few measurements. We want a few as complaints as possible and many happy customers.

Thanks again for all your interest.

So if I e-mail you I can set up a little trip down sound to get some subframes for my 2k2? Sounds like a plan.

There doesn't seem to be too many pics. In regards to people who need help, could you possibly write up an installation procedure, with color pics?

WSP SFC

We are working on the install directions. Once your car is up on the hoist, it's pretty easy to see how they fit. We are probably going to add a few PICs later. With the current PICs you can see them pretty well. We have said it before and I will again now, we are putting our efforts into the products not on a glitzy web page. We think the $200 price take that includes both stages is fair.

Still marginally curious what the difference between the 2K and 2K1 is and, given that there is a difference, any chance that an Anniversary Edition is any different than a non-AE 2K1? I'm guessing not, since I don't imagine the LSD changes the layout of the underbody/subframe at all.

I am certainly interested and no complaints about the price.
