Transmission slipping?

I have a 2014 Nissan Maxima and whenever I’m on the interstate lately the RPMs were running all the way up to 4000 without me increasing my speed. This seems to only happen when I’m doing over 50 mph. The RPMs will go up and down even if I am not changing my speed. And if I hit the gas really hard while I’m on the interstate it slips out of gear and just revs really high. I’m wondering if it is the CVT failing. Any thoughts? I tried uploading the video which is only 40 seconds long but I am unable to attach it because it says it’s too big
