answer as quick as possible, mounting custom intake
i have the CAI and there are the three vaccuum hoses that go in at the base, if i were puttin on my cusotm intake, i know crankshaft hose can be left open to breathe, but can the idle hose and the tiny one be left not attached to something for a temporary amount of time just to see if my intake functions properly, then ill put my old one back on, quick please!!! im tryin to get this done right now!and im relocating the MAF in front of the TB, any problems there??

No, the Idle Control Valve (big hose) hose cannot be taken off unless you have a way to keep your throttle plate open, and even then, it will register as an air leak, and shut itself down. The other hose (tiny one) won't let you rev the car if its disconnected. The crank case can breathe on its own, but you still need a filter for it.
