Check engine lite a big deal?
Yo guys...My 2k se has 23k miles on it, and has been xcellent from day 1. I have no mod's installed, and do meticulous maintenance whenever needed. The car's "check engine" lite just came on a couple days ago, and I was wondering how critical it is to get it back to the dealer to do whatever it needs to reset the lite. The only thing that's been changed other than oil and oil filters is the air filter. Would that do it? Its still really new...
thanks for any input!

That depends on why the light came on in the first place. If everything seems fine and the light is off and you can live with it, then don't worry. If its still on, or you worry, get it checked out -- You should still be covered under warranty for most things.

It probably just needs to be reset. Check your gas cap. The dealer told me that casues it sometimes or it may be caused it you jump started another car recently.
In any case call the dealer beacuse sometimes there are ways to reset the light without going there. My dad's acura you hold down the odometer reset for a few seconds and then press some other button. If you reset it and the light comes back on, then go get it checked out.
