These pads are not the Metal Masters that Stillen markets. They actually have performance similar to the Porterfield's. CarboTechs own compounds are mainly designed for the racing crowd, which is why nobody in these circles really knows that much about them. I just ordered a set of their Panther+ pads for my track days, but will be using something else for the street.

Thanks for the reply my friend; any thoughts as to whether these Axxis Ultimates are better or worse than standard Metal Masters? Are they even built by the same company? Last and not least, are the prices cost effective when compared to Stillen, Porterfield, etc? $150 for all 4 brakes seems pretty cheap to me but maybe not..
