I'm trying to find out what is worst you guys have ever been beaten by another car. Now i'm not talking about your Maxima getting beat by a Viper by 10 car lenghts. I'm talking about your Maxima getting beat by a Cavalier or some weak car like that. I have 2 equally embarassing moments; first was about 10 years ago and at the time I was driving my Dad's 85 Toyota Supra and I got beat by a 93 Ford Aspire to 60mph almost 1 1/2 car lenghts. I never got to talk to the guy, but he had some kind of exhaust system on his car. What ever he had it was enough to beat me that day. Second was 4 1/2 years ago when I still had my 93 Ford SHO and got beat by a stock 94 Nissan Altima to 60mph by almost 2 car lenghts. Now at the time my SHO had bad spark plugs and 1 bad spark plug wire. Either way it was embarrassing.

I had 3-4 other people in my car, 1 was rather fat. So I was lagged BIG time. He had a couple peeps in his stang. On the skinny side.

We were both side by side, going 40mph. 1...2...3...I floored it, then he floored it and pulled on me...

This was before I got my dual exhaust, Y-pipe and CAI though.

He kept braggin' about how his stang is so fast and was surprised when I wanted to race him in a mere "maxima".



I always thought those were supposed to be really fast, but I looked up some manual GT times and they were about 6.5-6.7, so I can't see how the auto would be faster than my maxima

well...i didn't lose...but i 'almost' lost to a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee...dang that V8 pulls hard off the line...i thought i was gonna get smoked my a bunch of high school kids in a SUV...

unless your seriously modded or in a 2k2 6spd,i learned the hard way(was close for about 20ft off of a light )

I got beat by a V6 Camaro once...when I was stock...I could have EASILY taken him...but he caught me off guard...and hit it out of the light first....then I'm playing catch up in first gear....pull to almost next to him...and MISS SECOND GEAR....I drop back a car and start pulling again in second...and then he shuts down...I tried to get him to go from a roll...but he just smiled like I wasn't worth his time....I WAS SOOOOOO PI$$ED!!!!!

I got beat up pretty badly by a stock 5 speed Mustang v-6 (by 1/2 to 1 car) on three different runs in my 94 GXE two days before I picked up my 2001 SE 5 speed. I was so hot about that loss I still hope to run into him again.

I have not really lost to any cars yet because I am very select but when I was with maximaracer28 in his 99.5 se-l he lost to a old 1985 Chrysler LeBaron GTS Turbo(old Guy) and a 92 max se

Keep them coming guys, this thread is cracking me up. I actually had one time I was suprised by another car. I had only had my Max for about 2 weeks and was going to the movies with a couple of friends when we pulled up next to this guy in a 96 Ford Explorer Sport. I had 2 other people in my car and he had none; he kept up with me to about 40 and then I started slowly pulling away. Although I won he defiently gave me a scare. I really haven't come close to loosing any other races because after driving for 10yrs you know who to mess with and who not too.

those who saw my at maxus may remember that I lost in the competiton part to a neon who ran a low 15 run. It was all my fault beause I launched at 2600rpms in an attempt to get a 14.7 with only a catback and intake... I lost that one but a few weeks later I did get my 14.7 back at my regualr track.

I almost lost to an A4 Turbo. It looked stock but she, yes she, had pillar gauges so I suspect it was modded. Anyway we were at a light and she launched and then I realized she wanted to race so I launched and I pulled on her till 2nd gear when she started to fly away. She only got to my hood when we both ran into heavy traffic. I am not sure what would have happened after the 45mph we got to, but it was real close and if her third gear was nice I would have been left far behind. The next day I found out that the cheaper A4 can be upgraded via the Turbo to produce I forget 200 or 220 hp...I looked hard at the A4 but its too small...so I ordered a Y-Pipe and my exhaust and began really modding.

When I first got my max, I raced a Mercur Xr4ti, and he beat me by like 4 car lengths. Also, A few weeks after I got the max, I got beat by a Dodge Daytona! My worst was when I was pimpin my beater, a '99 Monte Carlo, and I got beat by a Toyota SIENNA!!!! Damn that was embarrasing having little kids waving goodbye to you!

when i had my quarter million mile 90 se,i was on rt 78 in NJ and i seen a new yellow vette in my rear view drivin reckless so i got in front of him and about 5 of his lane changes i got in front of him at about 70mph,i seen he was gettin aggravated,and he finally got a break in the traffic,needless to say he flew by and gave me the middle finger

my car got raped by an M5 once But my friend with an eagle talon Turbo AWD pulled up next to this old 80 model escort looking car, and it was rust brown, and said turbo on it and he got smoked lol I took a 600hp Supra off the line at the track(i have this on video too) and then got stomped once he got traction

I went out to the street races one night, and on the way there i see this nasty POS blue 4 door Neon, he didn't even have hubcaps on his wheels. We line up at a red light, and ... he beats me! Only by 1/2 a car, but still. I was ****ed! From that day, I knew a had to have a 5 speed!

Cruising on the highway I see a new e46 M3. I passed him wot around 160km and kept on it for a while. He got caught in traffic. I slow down to 120km after traffic clears he pulls beside me. We both punched it in third and he just started walking da dirt dawg. From 120-200 he had at least 10 car lengths. Funny thing was though is I got a good path and slipped by him when he got caught behind a couple of cars. I passed at around 205 while he had to brake to about 110 because he got boxed in. Those things are fast and braking was awesome!

It was nice to see an M3 in action been driven for real!

I have some of the worst losses. 1st is when I was driving my moms 1990 civic DX I raced 1 LS1 camaro, modded 96-98 cobra, modded 5.0. I got own3d totally , I knew I had no chance whatsoever but it was still fun. Minus what the 5.0 did, not only did he chirp his 40mph downshift but he babied the gas just to stay next to me (I'm at WOT the entire time). After I hit 3rd gear at 60mph he floors it and puts a buslength on me. Once we hit the light I gave him a thumbs up and had to laff it off. The LS1 camaro just plain left me at the line. There was a 2 lane S-curve before reaching a stoplight, in the spot I like to go around 55-60mph. I guess he got upset when I past him on the outside, while he thought he was going fast. I did get the hole shot but that was it, I got maybe a 1ft infront before he floored his automagic car. By the time I hit 60mph (10 seconds later) he was around 1.5+ blocks ahead. My SE-R got owned too, damn supercharged 5.0. I should have known that ATI is a supercharger company and not a bodykit (which is what it had). I had him in 1st because of all his wheelspin but once he hooked in 2nd it was over. I ran the SE-R up to 90-95mph (which is around 15.6-15.9 seconds), he was about 15-20 lengths ahead. As I slowly catch up I give a wave while he gives me a thumbs up. No sense being a poor sport when you lose. But I wouldn't suggest getting own3d either. However I did kill a modded 92-95 civic EX in the SE-R so all wasn't lost.

Ok i've got another story about my 92 SHO getting smoked. This ***-kicking was courtesy of a early 90's Cop edition Mustang 5.0 w/supercharger. We raced from a dead stop and to my amazement I was beating him through 1st and 2nd gear. Then at the beginning of 3rd his car caught traction and the beast came alive. By the time we shut down at around 100mph he had me by 8 car lenghts. When we came to a stop he gave me the thumbs up for beating him in 1st and 2nd and I gave him the thumbs up for his total butt whipping to me. Now this next story was when I had my 85 Supra. I was on I-4 in Orlando doing about 60mph when up ahead I see this black car with white stripes. As I get closer I see the little SS symbol on the back. Now at the time I had no clue about cars, in fact the week before a guy was talking to me about the 67 Chevelle SS and told me if I ever saw one to challenge the person to a race. I asked him if the Chevelle was some distant cousin to the Chevy Chevette. Needless to say I was about to find out that they were nothing alike. So as I came up side by side to the car I did excactly as he had said. I kept launching my car to get his attention and in a matter of seconds there was no doubt I got his attention because the next time I lauched the car he looked over and waved bye bye to me. Then he downshifted and with his tires starting to smoke; away he went. I didn't even give chase; after seeing the tires smoke at 60mph I figured it was a lost cause. All though I got killed in the race it sure was fun to see that Chevelle smoke his tires while running on the highway at 60mph.
