I fell very sad now.....

I mean I don't even know you guys, but I fell
that I do in a way because of this forum. I wish
RBA to a speedy recovery. The good thing is you
guys survive, because your car can be replace,
but your lives can't.

Wish you well,

Clee never said that. The way I read Lime's post -- the one you responded to -- is that he was making a general statement/warning about racing, and particularly about racing in the rain.

Didn't read this thread until now. Glad that both of you are okay. When I was reading the first few pages it reminded me of my accident totaling my car. I definately know how you feel Calvin. But accidents do happen. And it will make you a better driver and a stronger man. Best wishes to both of you.

Hogan you are a Marine, you are supposed to be able to fight until death. Don't let these things make you give up. I've also had a lot of death around me and I was saddened when it all happened but there is nothing you can do to stop lifes trials but to just be strong, mourn and then move on. I'm not saying forget but just be stronger than to just give up on life. Do you think Clee and RBa (or anyone else for that matter) will want to see you talking like this? Help these fellas get through all this stuff bro, be strong.

But seriously, this is no joking matter. No matter what you think of me, I would never kick you in light of the recent matter. So for what it's worth, I hope you feel better.

Dee, this is just the torment inside I feel everyday, imagine the sight of watching the accident, forget as I did, it's just another "memory" burned into my head. I have no problems coping, not trying to say every death makes me stronger, but losing 42 people in a matter of minutes on 9-11, attending 39 funerals, giving condolences to 39 families, saying good bye to 38 friends and 4 of my dad's friends, within 2 months losing my gf and her brother, and within a week of that losing a friend to a drunken driver. I won't accept death anymore. I've accepted enough.

Hopefully today he will be discharged from the Hospital.

BTW, there was no racing the night of the accident. The roads were slick from drizzle and typical oil found on concrete roads. The light changed quick from green yellow red, usually the yellow holds enough, but not enough in this case.
Every day that passes this week, has been a battle for Rba, but when he finally got on his two feet, it was relief, and to leave him free standing as his blood rushed down to his feet, and he showed signs of being "giddy." That was more than enough entertainment for me and ToyLet who have been there by his side, since the day of the crash. Calvin is recovering, putting his thoughts before his emotions, and we hope that we'll all be meeting up again at 7-11 on Franny Lew, for a talk on the events of weeks past and weeks to come.

-Peace
Thanks for the good news and update. Wish everybody (H, A, C) get well soon. Hope to catch you guys back on the road in NY this spring and summer.

Glad someone walked out of the hospital, that't a good sign

yo_its_ok, I've realized that 9-11 was a tragedy, but your venting puts in a completely different light, so much loss - sorry. Vent away, whatever works!

clee, saw the pics from your sig link! Damn!!!!! I'm wondering, by now you must have given some thought as to the replacement to the RWD Max! Anything?

How did you make it RWD anyways? Your engine is mounted in a FWD fashion and did you do away with the beam in the rear?

Are you thinking of parting your car, or is it pretty much insurance property now?

This will probably be the last update because everything is almost settled with this accident.

As Golden Glory stated, RBa is home. He still has pains when he tries to sit up, but will be wearing a back brace for 8-10 weeks.

Then physical therapy and everything should be fine.

I only had liability on my car so I am getting nothing from insurance.

I am looking for another Maxima, but don't really have the money for it. I was working to save up to put myself through school next semester. I will probably buy a beater and use that to go to work/school.

But everything is winding down with this. Thanks to everyone for their support.

RBa is Back home...

Thank god the nightmare is finally over.. Thanks to those who gave their regards and prayers...
This past week seemed almost endless at times, and there were also those moments where I had to hang on with just pure motivation to survive.... It was unbearable but I managed to survive and I'm also thankful that things didn't end up any worse....
Mad props goes out to Yoitsok and Toylet902 for visiting me everyday and making me feel better each day.. If it wasn't for them, things woulda been harder for me emotionally and physically... Thanks to all the NE orgy members that visited me on Sunday... It was nice having a minimeet inside the hospital... You guys helped out alot by showing up... You guys scared my gurlfriend and a some of the hospital staff.. LoL...
It feels good to be back home!!!!!!.......

What, no thanks to clee???????
J/K! I wonder if this thread will remain alive for many years to come

If clee's interested, I'd love a lil souvenir from his one-of-a-kind RDW ... the ECU
Clee, sux that you had only liability on it, good luck with the beater. You'll still be on the board right?

Not much really ... only about a grand or two. Maybe even less. I was just starting to save up when the accident happened.

WHY??????

Hehe, thought I'd ask ... I've been contemplating getting an ECU to tinker with, want to reprogram it at work and see what I can get. Nmind .. you wanna sell it to me for cheap?

I got a beater 91 Escort for $840 from Ebay but after driving the 1.9L 4 cylinder with <100 hp/torque, I cherish my Maxima even more ...

Yeah, I really wish I got pictures in the day and of my dash.

When I took the pictures, the sun had just set and it came out really blurry.

The center console was sort of angled towards the driver's side and down a little. And the dash was angled down as well. At the accident scene, when an officer asked for my registration and insurance, another officer handed him my glove box and the officer said, "Oh... ok ... here it is."

Before the vultures start circling, I would just like to say that the red/clear tails are not for sale.

And I would like to publicly thanks YoItsOk, Toylet902, and Golden Glory for going and de-modding my car while I had to go to work.
