Actuators - Making things motorized with a click of a switch???

Anyone here on the ORG have any idea about actuators??

It is going to be used to motorize the passenger side front airbag up and down with the click of a switch, I just don't know how much or where to get the motor part from..?

If anyone has any useful information please post it.. i dont care about the rest of you who want to tell me your opinions.. thanks anyway.

Re: Actuators - Making things motorized with a click of a switch???

I'm an engineer at a company that makes automotive actuators. Those linear actuators at Selectproducts are ridiculously expensive. If they do what you want and you have money, go ahead, unless you can design one yourself.

were gonna go another route.. actuators are too much as far as weight factor.. i dont need a 50lb motorized lift, so we are thinking up other things..
