Car has been starting kind of funny lately. It does not turn over a couple times than start normally like it used to. Now the motor jumps when you start it. The motor turns over once or twice than jumps and starts running. Than today the car did not want to start. Just turns over real slow(like dead battery,but battery not dead) and it threw a check engine light. Now it will start, but turns over real slow and jumps than make a funny noise. I hope I am lucky enouph for it just to be the starter. When the car is running it runs fine, does not jump or stall or anything. runs normal shifts normal and everything. Any suggestions.

Sounds like an electrical problem. Like maybe a short or bad ground in the ignition switch and related wiring, or maybe a bad solenoid on the starter. Hope it helps.

check your negative ground cable to the battery! You will need either a 3/8 or 1/2 drive rachet, with an extension and a 12mm socket. Follow the opossite end of the cable down into the well of the engine, at this point just snug the nut to see if it is in need of any tightening? Even a small amount of play with this cable connection can be a menance!
