who wants a maxima but needs a smaller car buy? i like nissan, dont like altimas, and the sentra is not my type of car. the max is perfect in every way, but is a little too big for my taste. Have any of you had this problem before you got you max?

I still like compact cars. Ive been driving my dad 99 grand gt and i love to drive it, but parking in the garage and in a tite parking lot is a pain.

if you get a max you will like it so much that you wont park near any other cars for the fear of dings and scratches, so problem solved you just have to walk a little further

The maxima is probably the smallest car I have had so far. It really is not so big that parking etc is a problem.

I know waht you mean. After I had my rear bumper replaced, I look at it everyday to see if it is scratched. One day i was going to my car and the lady parked behind me bumped it and gave me my first scratch. You have no idea how furious I was. I was ready to pull her out of the car and rip her head off. Anyways she was pretty hot so I just smiled and walked away.......

My moms G20 isn't that bad. Then again I have not been allowed to touch it so I can't tell you how it drives. But she chose it over a 3 series

Have they been tested to 4.5 seconds already? Thats pretty damn fast for a 4 cylinder... and I heard the car is supposed to cost around 25 g's, to compete with the WRX..

maybe i should tell you that it has to be used. i dont plan on spending more than $12,000. i want a used impreza rs, but there are none in my area. max is my second choice... then 240sx, integra, and civic. i need something that will run a while and can be used as a daily driver an be pushed hard sometimes. i need it to fit 4 people on occasions, and have superb visiblity. also i dont want something everyone has (hooked up anyways)

any other suggestions?

Well 240sx sounds interesting. Ok looking and not as common place as say civic and there are mods for it.

As far as parking goes... did you ever drive a maxima and tried to park it ? Unless you have some huge weels it has a pretty small turning radius. My 2k on stock 16" parks/turns shorter than my old 626 even though it's about a foot longer. Everybody who rides in my car comments on how easy it is to get around parking lots, paralell park and do U turns on two lane roads. Give it a try. I'd say that 4th gen on 15s/16s (car in a price range you listed) is whole lot easier to park/handle than you think...

What were you thinking.
Maybe she would have done you favors for letting her off the hook.

its not so much parking the car i am worried about, its getting it in and out of my garage, which the grand am barely fits in. i need to be able to work on the car in there.

also, i havent driven any of these cars yet, but im really getting interested in the 240sx now. 2 questions, how is the ride in everyday city driving? and with 23.8 inches of rear leg room, can 4 people sit back there?

its either the max or the 240, because i wont get what im looking for with the other cars... figure max $12000 v6 close to 200hp

240sx with blown motor $750, plus sr20det $6000 = $6750

im getting ready to graduate from college later this year, the only other vehicle i plan on getting for a long time is a motorcyle, i really need something that can do it all. what do you guys think??

Yeah yo can fit two people in the back of 240 not for long though... Did letters G,T, and I ever crossed your mind. It's small, clean looking can carry four people with ease and if you fold the back it'll and It'll haul *** especially with v6.

The 0-60's have varied. I think motortrend said around 5.0 and some other sites have said anything from 5.1-5.6 - still fast as sh*t though.

They're suppose to start around low 20K's and I think their direct competition is the WRX Sti. Read something about Nissan maybe bringing the Skyline GTR over to compete!
