American Racing Aeroes

One of our org members has these rims but I can't remember who it is.
I'm going to go with these rims (17x7s, polished) for my Max when I get new tires. Some pics would be nice too...Thanks!

Eesh! Blkcat, I know you are old but snap out of the 70's man!! hehe. Actually I was wondering of the "Bullit" rims off the Stang would look better than these. They are gunmetal gray w/ a polished lip. 17x8 and should fit perfect

My educated guess is yes. They fit the 3-gen perfect and fit the 4-gens pretty good too. By looking at the gap between the wheel and fender on the 2ks, they should fit fine also. bolt pattern is same, hub bore is bigger(so it's not a problem) and offset "should" be okay.

That's a nice color combo. I would use ebay first, then look at www.mustangworld.com and then www.corral.net

Old?
The 4th gen Maxima body is quite a curvy shape...I think the Aeroes compliment the curves...
Yeah the "Bullit" rims are nice and they're "retro" looking too. Maybe I should phone the local Furd dealerships for pricing...

Just checked a Mustang website and they say that the offset on these "Thrust" wheels are -22mm. This won't work will it??

Yeah you can't front man because I've met you. haha!

Don't by any means call a fordy dealer. Prices are WAY too high. Got on the links I provided already and lurk around. But the two websites seem to have raised their prices. Seems people have caught on that these rims fit more than just Mustangs.

Jeff, it's my misfortune to have met you! j/k!
You're also forgetting that us Asians age better!

I'm trying to stay with 5 spokes for the Max. ROH wheels have rims that look almost exactly like the stock SE rims I have but why not take the opportunity to be different than the rest of the SE's on the road? Hope to have something decent when we have another Maxima meet!

Romeo, I'm still riding on my stock SE rims just like in Weasel's sig pic. Now don't get me wrong, I love those rims but 16" just doesn't seem to cut it for me now, especially when I see other SE's being driven by non-enthusiasts like us. If they were 17" or even 18" in this style I'd stay with it. So at the moment I want to express my individuality like everyone else here too. I've seen lots of sig pics here with nice looking rims but only a very small handful turn my crank. Konig Monsoons are still nice but they're getting a bit overdone in this Org. I've only seen Monsoons once up here and they were on a Honda. Now if I can find that sig pic of that Max with Aeroes in here it would help me alot in my decision.

Yup. I didn't like them before but I think on Blkkitten's car, it would look pretty good. Fairly unique also. Ain't no honda gonna be rollin' these.

Heh, yes they're retro, but if you like that look they would be alright on a black Max I think. Call up Mopac and see how much they might have them for - they're a Ford Motorsport dealer. I asked about silver (not chrome) Cobra rims and I think they told me $250 each. Some local tire shops have takeoffs too, but somehow I remember being disappointed with how much they wanted for them...

For a car like yours, I definitely think the 16's aren't enough. Get some rims and life's complete

Loved that last line! That's one thing about modding...the problem is that you'll never know when you're complete!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...that pic that Wizeguy kindly posted for us looks pretty good too...just as retro as the Aeroes but in anthracite color...I was at Safeway thumbing through the R&T mag looking at what these rims looked like as well. Canadian Tire is selling the polished Aeroes for $317 apiece but I'll phone around and see....

Thanks for the suggestion, Jeff!...I never gave these rims any thought...At least these would suit my SC intake howl!

Well, gotta split gang...client call this morning!

blkcat, you know it's nothing but love anyways, i do like the rims since they are unique and pretty tight looking. however, i like the polished or chrome over the one in the picture on the mustang

How much are they locally then? (Remember, you got to ship them!) Sometimes once you figure shipping and sometimes brokerage fees (depending on who they ship it with, like the UPS basturds) I've found some performance parts and such to be better if I buy it local.
