How important is it to have adjustable shocks?
How important is it to have adjustable shocks?
Aside from the control over things, how important is it if someone (like me for example) don't go around racing a lot or running at the track?
Say, to just complement lowering springs w/o radically degrading the ride quality are non-adjustables (like the Tokico's) good enough?
Thanks.

Then there are kyb agx shocks/struts that are adjustable.
Not sure if that is what you looking for or not.
I have them and it's nice... if you ever drive on the highway for extended periods of time you can change them...also if you drive in the city you can change them.
Maybe I am in left field

I have the maxspeed springs (roughly 1.7" front and 1.4" rear drop). Would that be considered conservative?
Also, i drive mostly city and there's a TON of potholes and irregular roads. Do you think the Adjustables would be a better alternative?
My rationale was, since the car is used mostly for commuting to-fro work and perhaps some spirited driving on the highways then i doubt if i'll be adjusting anything much.
Then again i never rode on a car with aftermarket shocks so i have no idea how much harsher the ride is going to be. If it's the same as the RSX (we have one in the family) then i'm skipping the non-adjustables altogether. The RSX, though awesome suspension, is too rough for me.

Based on that statement, you'd be better off with the AGX's. They are much stronger and will help you maintain ride quality while taking the beating that the combination of your springs and poor road conditions will dish out. The GR2s are a great strut, but may not last very long based upon the conditions you will be operating them in.

the reason most people are getting the AGX adjustibles is because they are reasonably priced at $370 shipped and will last the life of the car respectively because of the warrantee. I had tokico's on my eibach springs on my old max, ouch after 10k miles they were shiizzzoT
I've heard the same about the Tokico's. Does anyone have the AGX's that Cattman sells on their 5th gens?
Btw, the adjustments is to change from firm to soft right?
