Below is a pic of headers for the v6 accord. If you guys didn't know they pay $1k for them. Now to me it looks like 90-95% of the gain is from the Y pipe not the manifolds. Of course I could be wrong but, if maxima had headers they would look like these. The comptech headers are SS too, this owner opted to have them jethot coated anyway. I think it looks better in jethot than SS.

this past week we've been taking apart my friends VQ engine and man, our exhaust manifolds are small. i think headers can be done, but it would be a real pain trying to take off the manifold while the engine is in the car(we had the engine on an engine stand). also, the rear exhaust manifold has the EGR tube screwed into it. anyway, we're pulling the heads off the engine to port and polish along with the intake and exhaust manifold. but yeah, headers would be nice.

AEBS already looked at goose's 96SE 5-spd and concluded that they could only do short pipes, not proper headers... so I dunno.

BTW, I think my dad's 3.2TL needs headers, intake and exhaust. (after I buy my Maxima, do quaife, coilovers, and supercharger-- so don't worry about my priorities!).... then I think my dad's TL could go munch on some of the slower Maximas out there.
