installing neon lights

ok, today i was trying to put neon tubes into my friends corolla. I ran them to the cigarette lighter fuse. I connected one wire to the fuse and then started the car, it didnt light up. THen i connected both wires ( the positive and the ground) to both sides of the fuse, but they still didnt work, is there anything that i am doing wrong?

Don't connect the ground wire to the other part of the fuse. Only the power wire goes to the fuse. Hook up the ground wire to a metal screw or bolt. That should help you.

try his way... then if it still doesnt work, you might have blown a fuse... check it and make sure!

seems like electrical. i have my units connected to a switch with ACC, ON/off and ground needles. the wire connected directly to the switch has a fuse, the others dont need this. good luck, its just like installing fog lights. If you have a relay, it can be a pain. your not suppose to bypass that, i still do it anyways.. i can never get relays to work, just use a fuse..
